Yankton, South Dakota, is what Tom calls home. "When there was an event that was going on in town in which they needed an emcee, guess who they called?" "When there was a school play, I had a lead," he said. The story of Tom Brokaw's success begins in Pickstown. "And at the end of the nine years, they folded it up, and shipped it away," Brokaw said. Pickstown was a manufactured town for the people who would build the dam, who found neat houses with state-of-the-art amenities, like heat and running water. And everybody came from all over America, mostly working class."

The Brokaw family packed up and headed for Pickstown. "It was a hugely important dam for flood control and other things, and for creating power," said Brokaw.Īnd jobs. A muscular monument to a confident post-war America, the dam stands astride the Missouri River, built in nine years by the Army Corps of Engineers and an army of working men like Red. He worked on helping construct the Fort Randall Dam. Red Brokaw was as self-made as a working man could be – a genius with heavy machinery who could build anything. "Everything went through the post office." "It was like being the head of a newspaper in town," said Brokaw. A working mother, she was the local postmistress. Tom's interest in news gathering may have come from his mother, Jean. He wanted people to think well of him," said Tom. Throughout his life, it seems, Red Brokaw worked all the time. "My grandmother, unfortunately, died at an early age," Brokaw said. #MAFIA 3 DLC SERIES#
Can’t wait to see where this series goes. Still like Mafia 1 the most, but the new game play has me wanting more. A few changes and tweaks for Mafia 4 and they will be a best seller and keep my always coming back. I think they have the core game very well designed. Wish there was a bit more customization on characters, weapons (take silencers on and off for certain aspects of missions) and have certain parts added to vehicles actually make performance changes instead of cosmetic. That said, the driving is super fun and I love the cars. Gets a bit tedious needing to drive or boat all over.

I’m okay with no fast travel, but we definitely need a way to have auto drive enabled option so I can let the AI drive and allow the player to grab food/drink/let the dog out etc/go use the bathroom and come back to a mission. There is no fast travel so you physically need to drive each time which can be 15-20 minutes easily at times.

Collection of money is a pain to drive to that district each time to collect. Really good story that makes you feel the pain and anger. Playing on PS5 after replaying the original remastered Mafia 1.
